I'm Robert Edison, an IT Professional with many years of experience. I provide computer support and programming to organisations in Lincolnshire. On this website I blog about PHP, Windows 10, trainspotting, and model airplanes.

Background

As an IT Technician, I've worked on many computer networks. I was part of the team which upgraded West Burton Power Station. I was also part of the support teams for Bassetlaw NHS Hospital and North Lincolnshire Council.

As a Web Developer, I've worked on ecommerce, brochure, and line of business websites. These websites were programmed in PHP, SQL, ASP.NET and Visual Basic.

I've learnt many technologies through self-study, passing 4 exams on the way to become a Microsoft Certified Professional and a Microsoft Technology Associate.

I've won awards for my volunteering with the Gainsborough Traveller Initiative and the Voluntary Centre Service. I'm presently volunteering with Healthwatch Lincolnshire to improve the NHS.
